Formed in 2000, Charm City Land Trusts, Inc. (CCLT) is a Maryland-based nonprofit organization. Following a series of seminars and workshops on the possibility of CLTs becoming a tool for Baltimoreans to assure long-term affordable housing, several persons from various backgrounds formed the organization. Currently, CCLT maintains support of community-controlled land for preservation, greening, open space, and permanently affordable housing.

CCLT is committed to decision-making at the local level. Since our founding, we have fostered strong relationships with various communities, nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholders such as churches and government agencies. By partnering with these organizations, CCLT provides critical support to grassroots efforts in the acquisition and management of land in Baltimore City.
